Profile Box

The best profile cards feel effortless—they show just enough to spark curiosity, nothing more.

This is a faithful copy of X’s profile box. It keeps what makes the original work: simple, compact, welcoming, and responsive. It shows only the essentials—avatar, name, username, and verification—and adds a soft hover that warms the surface without stealing attention.

What I love most is the information density: a lot of meaning in a tiny surface that still breathes. Spacing, rhythm, and motion start fast and ease out, so the interaction feels immediate—never abrupt.

Under the hood, it is deliberately simple: small parts (root, avatar, name, username, verified badge, actions) that compose cleanly. The defaults do most of the work; swapping pieces costs almost zero thought.

I was not trying to out‑design X—I wanted to understand why it feels right. Small surfaces force honest choices: say the important thing, then step aside. That is why I keep coming back to this box.
